Home Bazaar Dutch Colonial Birdhouse
Constructed with today's birds in mind, our charming 1920's Dutch Colonial home sports it's distinctive profile. It's not uncommon to hear it described as a "barn house." The double angled, gambrel roof allowed a complete second story to be built at minimal expense. One infamous Dutch Colonial, the Amityville Horror House, situated in a suburban neighborhood in Long Island, New York was the site of a series of mysterious murders. To this day, Amityville residents report paranormal phenomena in and around the house. A 1.25” hole will allow wrens, finches, chickadees, nuthatches and titmice to nest. The roof is topped with sturdy pine shingles. Ventilation, drainage and a removable back wall make this birdhouse as functional as it is spooky. Item Dimensions: 12.5" H X 13.5" W x 10.5 " D
